We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of our family and group!
Macie HopeDill was born Monday, June 28th at 10:14 am, weighing in at 7 lbs and 20 inches long. The twins, Ansleigh and Bryleigh (2 years old) have become quite the little helpers and are enjoying their new roles as big sisters. Tim and I are taking turns feeding, burping and changing little Macie and just trying to take it all in. We are so blessed to have been given this opportunity to parent these three little girls. Thank you all so much for the kind words, cards and calls. We covet your prayers as we strive to be the parents God wants us to be. We’ve also posted some photos from Macie’s delivery and homecoming!
I just wanted to let you all know that, unless things happen sooner, we will be celebrating the arrival of our 3rd little girl on Monday, June 28! To say the least, we were surprised 2 years ago when we discovered that we were having twins, but honestly, the discovery of this little one was the biggest surprise of our lives! Nonetheless, we are thrilled and so thankful that God has chosen to bless us again with a child.
We ask that you remember us in prayer as we prepare for the arrival of this new little life:
Pray for me, the baby, the doctors and nurses, that God’s hand would be upon us all during the delivery.
Also, my mom is in Durham, North Carolina with my brother, Brad and his wife, Jena-Marie who just gave birth to their first child, Calliah Grace O’Brien, on Thursday, June 17. Mom’s really hoping to make it back for the birth of our baby so pray that she gets back to Tennessee in time for all the excitement. (She hates flying!!!!)
And lastly, please pray that all goes well and we can return to the road Sunday, June 11 to be with our dear friends at Grace Baptist Church in Murray, Ky. It’s not easy traveling on the road with young children as there’s a lot of stress and planning involved, but we know that God has given us a testimony of hope and it’s our desire to continue sharing that message of encouragement and God’s faithfulness with others. Thank you all for your support and stay tuned!!!

Shawn and I took the girls on a play date to the park a few weeks ago. They loved playing on the slides and eating peeps. Shawn and I even got in on the fun. It has been a while since we had little ones to take to the park and play with. I had forgot how much fun toddlers can be. After a few hours we took them to lunch at Fazoli’s. They love alfredo noodles and garlic bread! Oh yea, can’t forget the tea. They love to drink tea. I can’t wait for our next play date. We have also posted a video of our time together hope you enjoy it!
Earlier this week, I realized that I have over 2,000 friends on Facebook! I thought that it would be a lot of fun to have everyone post a comment to let me know how they knew me. Naturally I do personally know most of them… but it was really neat to read everyone’s comments! Since we have nearly 4,500 subscribers to our eNewsletter, this should be twice as much fun. We’d love to know where and when you met The Dills! Be sure to share a story or memory as well!
To make the deal even sweeter, we’re going to give away a FREE copy of our new HYMNS project to the 5 most interesting comments! So, PLEASE take a moment to leave a comment… even if you posted earlier on my Facebook! Then come back to check out all of the stories… and see who won the FREE CDs!
There are no words to describe the feeling of what occurred this past weekend. If you live in the area or have watched the news, then you’re fully aware of the flooding that we’ve experienced in Tennessee and surrounding areas. Several areas received as much as 13 inches of rain in just one day! We had only one concert scheduled in Smyrna, GA for Sunday morning, so we had planned to leave home on Saturday afternoon. After leaving the house, we realized exactly how bad things were! Water was running across Interstate 40 only a few miles from our house that had traffic backed up for nearly 20 miles! We took another route, only to find out that road was also closed due to flooding. At this point we really began to question whether we would even be able to make it out of Jackson! In the meantime, a fireman stopped by our home and advised everyone to evacuate their homes immediately due to a levee breaking at a nearby lake. He said that it could possibly flood our home if the other one broke! I called Pastor Steve Davis and shared the situation with him, and he agreed that we needed to put our safety first. After a lot of discussion, we attempted to head south through Mississippi and take the long way to Atlanta. We encountered several areas that were under water, but successfully arrived at the church at 1:00 am on Sunday morning! After having a wonderful service at Sharon Baptist that morning, we knew that we would have to travel right back through the storms to get home. We’re thankful for all of the prayers and concern for our safety and with the Lord’s protection… we safely made it home late Sunday night! You can see several more photos right here! How did the rain and flooding affect your weekend? Do you have any family or friends that were affected by this weather?
