First of all, thanks for your overwhelming response to our question, “What is your favorite hymn?” I didn’t realize that we would get so many responses! Obviously we’re not the only ones that still love the hymns of the church! We did manage to narrow the list down to ten songs. I know that we couldn’t do everyone’s favorite… but we’re very excited about the final list. We will be moving toward completing the project really soon, so we went to Nashville yesterday to record the tracks. A special thanks to Matthew Holt for helping with the arrangements and playing piano during the recording session! You’re awesome! Also, thanks to Jeremy Medkiff (guitar), Roger Fortner (bass) and Garth Justice (drums) for your amazing talents! I’m sure that many of you will be wondering what songs we chose… so here’s the final list: It Is Well With My Soul What do you think about the final list? Did one of your favorites make the cut? We have always wanted to record a project containing the great songs of the church. This week we will be choosing songs for a new Hymns project and would love to get your opinion. It’s going to be difficult to narrow it down to just 10 songs… so let’s hear from you! What is your favorite Hymn?
He may be the ONLY member, but Pastor Daryle Hawthorne debuted the official Tim Dill Is My Hero t-shirt on Sunday night in Belton, SC! He indicated that the shirts would be available immediately and was sure that it would be a huge success! Although, I’m not convinced that it’s gonna be a profitable venture. What do you think? Will it work? Please continue to remember my cousin, Chris Casteel and his wife, Lisa and youngest son, Mitchell at this most difficult time. We know that what Earth has lost, Heaven has gained… Thanks, Today, I am compelled to share a prayer request with you on behalf of my cousin, Chris Casteel and his oldest son, Jameson. Jameson, age 12, was diagnosed October 30th of last year with ALL B-cell Leukemia. He has fought a very difficult but valiant battle thus far. However, in the course of the last week, Jameson has taken a turn for the worse with an infection that has now caused “septic shock”. According to his dad’s last update, Jameson is non-responsive and has been admitted to the PCCU (Pediatric Critical Care Unit) at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Please join my family in praying that the doctors will take the most effective course of treatment quickly for Jameson’s sake… Pray also for his mom, Lisa, dad, Chris and his little brother, Mitchell who is trying to celebrate his 10th birthday today. WOW!!! Is it already time for this??? I was upstairs in the office when Bridget came running up in a panic. This is what I saw when we went into the room! Bridget had already put Ansleigh back in the crib before she came to get me. I think that we’re gonna have to build a better mouse trap if want to keep them contained. The girls just turned 16 months old and every day has been interesting… but I think that it is going to really get crazy now! How old were your children when this started happening? Any suggestions or recommendations? |
