Ponderings
Hello Friends!
We hope that your new year has started off well and with Christ! Just think… this could be the year of the coming of our LORD!!! How exciting it is to anticipate the possibilities 2012 holds!
In the last several days, I’ve been pondering the events of 2011 as a member of The Dills. There is a multitude of thoughts that come to my mind, however, the most obvious is “BLESSED”. We are so blessed to have family, friends, and home churches that believe in the reason we sing. Though these people may not minister on stage, they are very much a part of this ministry. These people may be found helping with our children, cleaning the bus, getting dirty with bus repairs, taking a driving shift on late night trips home, or a host of other things, but they are always there. Most importantly, they are continually praying for us. God has blessed us richly with an array of people to encourage, challenge, motivate and support us as we share the Gospel, and we are extremely grateful for each and every one.
Another word that comes to mind as I think about last year is “SUFFICIENT”. With all the blessings the year held, it also presented its challenges. There were health issues, scheduling conflicts, mechanical repairs, along with other uncertainties and trials, but over and over, God proved himself asEl Shaddai, The All Sufficient God. What we saw as “surprises” were not surprises to God but detours to blessings. Time after time, we observed the promise of 2 Corinthians 12:9 in action, “And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” In our trials, He reminded us that He is Sufficient; He has been, is and will always be more than enough for all of our needs.
Finally, I have to say I’ve been “HUMBLED” in reviewing the year 2011. I’m humbled at the fact that God has given us this platform to share about Him and His love. It’s an honor and privilege each time we are given the chance to stand and sing songs that tell the life-changing story of the hope found in Christ’s life, death and resurrection. I pray that we never take for granted the opportunity, responsibility or calling we have.
Tim, Shawn, LeeAnn and I are excited to see what 2012 holds in store. We are currently finalizing the vocals, graphics and details for our newest recording which is our take on some praise and worship, contemporary and original music. The events of this last year even inspired the words to the song, “Faithful”, written by Tim, that will be on the new cd. We’ll have more information coming soon on the new cd so be looking for it!
As I close, I ask you to please join us in praying for the following over this coming year:
- that we will seize the opportunities that God affords us to share the Gospel, on stage and off. We were privileged to witness the salvation of many lives last year and we pray that number multiplies this year!
- that God will keep us in His will and continue to reveal Himself to us so we may know Him more and in turn, share more about Him with those we encounter.
- that God will continue to protect us and our families as we travel.
- that we will be efficient and effective in our delivery of the message of Christ.
- that we would never take our eyes off of Jesus Christ! The world is full of distractions, decaying morals and selfishness. May we always be focused on worshiping our Savior as we evangelize the lost and encourage the saints.
We love you all and can’t wait to worship with you this year. Give us a call if you are planning a special service that you’d like us to be a part of! We’d love to worship with you and share with you what God is doing in us! Oh, by the way, take a second to check out the photos from our Christmas gatherings!
Until next time, be blessed, be a blessing and keep your eyes on the sky!
Bridget

Thanksgiving Entertainment!
This is what we do for Thankgiving entertainment! Maybe I’ll perfect this little trick during our Christmas break! It would be a cool addition to my stage routine for 2012! 🙂

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
3 Accept Christ
Hallelujah!!! This past Sunday morning in Cartersville, GA we saw 3 lives that were eternally changed! During the invitation time of the service 2 young ladies came and accepted Christ… and then after the service had ended, another young girl gave her heart to the Lord too! It was one of those services that we wished would never end!
But when God really pours out a blessing such as that, you know that the devil is not too far behind to put out your fire. As soon as we got on the bus, we realized that we had a really bad air leak. We did not have time to work on it since we had to get to Hixson, TN for the service Sunday night. So we carefully drove on to Hixson with the bus leaning drastically to one side. We did not even get a chance to look at the problem until after the concert was over… (which was another great service!) Our friend Bob Haynes and his son helped us take off one of the wheels to find the problem. It was a busted air bag on the tag axle! That sounds bad… but it was the best news that we could have received. You see, the tag axle on the bus can be raised which stopped the air leak until we got home. Isn’t it great to know that God Is In Control?
I also wanted to let you know that LeeAnn’s birthday is on Wednesday, November 2nd! You can leave her a message below. I’m sure that she’d love to hear from you!
See ya soon,
Tim
Exciting Times!
It’s hard to believe that another month has almost passed by! We started October with a great weekend in Oklahoma & Arkansas as we witnessed a young lady accept Christ! Hallelujah!!! That’s what it’s all about! It looks like we’re gonna finish the month in Cartersville, GA and Hixson, TN this weekend. Be sure to join us if you can!
Even though October has been extremely busy, the whole gang found a little time to relax on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL. This was actually the first time that our girls have been to the beach and they had a blast. It seems like October has created a lot of “first time experiences” for the girls since we also took them to the Memphis zoo last week! They finally got to see why we call them “little monkeys”! 🙂
It’s also been a really exciting time for Shawn and LeeAnn since Logan is a senior this year. We’ve spent most of our Friday nights watching him finish his final season on the football field. He has turned into quite an amazing young man! We are all extremely proud of everything that he has accomplished!
Be sure to check out all of the photos from October on the photos page! Lots of good stuff!
Until next time,
Tim
What’s Your Favorite Worship Song?
Hey Friends,
We had a quick question that we’d love to ask! What is your favorite Praise & Worship song? Our “WORSHIP” album was recorded about 4 years ago and we’ve been wanting to do something like that again. The last album contained songs like “Lord I Lift Your Name On High”, “Days Of Elijah”, “You Are Good”, “Here I Am To Worship” and many more. Since there are so many great worship songs that are out there, we’d love to get your opinion. We’re actually in the studio today sorting through a lot of material, so please take a moment and leave a comment below with your thoughts and suggestions!
Busy Days!
I spoke with someone the other day that said, “I’ve noticed that you guys have been really busy lately.” To which I responded, “Yes, so busy that I’ve not been able to update the website!” And for those of you that sit by your computer every day, just waiting to get an email from The Dills… “I’m sorry!” 🙂
August was a really busy month with concerts in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. We were blessed to see a lot of friends and go back again to several places that we’ve been in the past. But we also had the priveledge to meet new friends and do a lot of things for the very first time. One thing that stands out was the End of Summer Picnic in Hamilton, OH hosted by some of the most wonderful friends in the world, Brody & Ann Jacobs. For the past several years the Jacobs’ have invited their entire church, friends, family and neighbors to their home for a day of food, fun and fellowship. Folks were swimming, playing basketball and volleyball, swinging, sliding and eating all day! Logan and I even got to play a little bit on one of Brody’s “tools”. (You’ll have to check out the photos page to see what I’m talking about.) This year, for the first time, they decided to have some music to end the day so right before dark we put on a concert for approx. 200 people right in their back yard. It was a blast! But the best part was knowing that there were several non-Christians there during our concert. After we finished, Brody shared with us that one person said, “I really liked that group that was singing. They’re really good and they have a very encouraging message.” That person is a Muslim they have been ministering to for a while! Praise the Lord that a seed was planted!
Just last week, Bridget’s dad had surgery in Nashville. Nearly a year ago, he broke two ribs. The ribs broke loose where they connect to the breast bone. He’s been in pain for a while and finally the doctors determined it would require a fairly intense surgical process. The surgery lasted 4 hours and involved the assembly of titanium plates made to fit this unique situation. They had to attach the plates by screwing into the breast bone and into the lower part of the broken ribs. Needless to say, he’s in a lot of pain and recovery is expected to be a slow process. He was released from the hospital on Wednesday and is now resting (and medicated) at home. Please pray that he’ll be comfortable and recover quickly. I know that he’ll be looking forward to being able to get down in the floor again and play with all the grandbabies! 🙂
That’s just a few of the things that have been happening in our crazy life! What’s been happening in your world? Got anything you’d like to share? Just leave a comment below.
God Bless,
Tim
Macie’s First Birthday
Gosh, things never seem to slow down around here so finding time to write posts has taken a backseat to other more demanding responsibilities… However, we celebrated a huge milestone recently and I had to take time to share!
Sweet Macie Hope celebrated her 1st birthday on June 28 and let me tell you, our world is much brighter because of her! She is definitely the “cherry on top” in our little family! The twins adore her and love to “mommy” her. She loves to ride the bus and go to the singings! You can always find her watching the action in the services and clapping along with the music. She did get a bit of my Irish temperament but hopefully, that will serve her well in her life. She sleeps well, eats well, LOVES her bath time and is just all-around a great baby!
To be honest, I questioned God’s timing when I found out I was pregnant with Macie because the twins had just turned 16 months old and I was very much running non-stop just to try to “look” like I was in control of them and the “situation”. I would have wanted to wait several more years to have any more children, (that is, if we were going to try to have any more at all), but sometimes God chooses to show us how “mediocre” our plans are, scaring us silly in the process! God, as I am finding out, excels in using the most overwhelming, out-of-control situations or scenarios in our lives to prove to us that He is able to provide what we need, when we need it, before we ever know we need it! Macie’s arrival was perfectly orchestrated by God, and though it seemed like an ill-timed pregnancy to me, it turned into the most impeccably timed blessing! Her precious smile keeps me sane when I’m feeling frustrated or overwhelmed with the twins or just with life in general and her sweet giggle has the power to make me melt! She’s taught the twins to share, love, and in a sense, be patience. And all these girls are teaching Tim lessons daily on what it means to trust and have faith that God is able to provide…
Needless to say, we are busy, but so bountifully blessed! We are exhausted but fulfilled! We are not sure how we are going to fund the needs of three growing little girls but we know the God that gave them to us will provide. We can trust Him with our tomorrows because He was faithful yesterday!
So just remember, sometimes those so-called “trials” are just God’s blessings in disguise!
