As many of you know, we had been looking forward to sharing the stage with The Booth Brothers in Muncie, IN for quite some time. We’ve worked with them in the past and we always have a great time! On Saturday around lunch I received a call from their road manager to let us know that their bus had broken down about 5 hours away from Muncie. After several hours, they finally realized they would not be able to make it for the concert! The promoter was really concerned about how the audience would react to the news so not knowing what else to do, he just prayed for God to have His way. We were originally planning to take part in approximately 30-45 minutes of the concert, but all of those plans quickly changed! Our friend Russ Watson kicked off the concert at 6:00 pm with a few songs and around 6:30, we took to the stage. We were not sure how the audience would respond considering the majority of the people had never even heard of The Dills before, but after singing just a few songs, we realized that God was in total control of the situation and He was in the midst. Despite being faced with a challenging situation, the Spirit lead us into what turned out to be an absolutely amazing night of worship and praise. We received so many kind words of encouragement and made lots of new friends. We sure missed the Booth Brothers but we still did what we all came to do… we gathered together to worship and sing praised to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and He poured out His blessings!
It was a blessing for those you led into worship! It’s our fervent hope you are back in Muncie on June 6th….
When I heard Saturday that the Booth’s bus was sick I went to prayer for the Dill’s. I knew you were more than able to do the whole concert, but I felt like you could also use some prayer. Thank you Lord for the help you give us when we need it if we just do as you lead.
We’ve worked with the Dills on several occasions. I thought this was the best performance/ministry I’ve ever experienced with the Dills. God was really working.
Thanks for the compliment, Rick. It was great to see you guys and we’re already looking forward to being in Marion in July!
Yes, God does work in mysterious ways and also in his own timing. I am not sure if your parents knew Raymond C. Perkins (we called him RC or Perk) but a celebration happen this morning as he went to be with the Lord. Just pray for the family’s to have strength to get thru it. The Perkins (I think they were from Tiptonville). He was not an ordain preacher but he was preaching when he had his stroke in October, 2010. He has been going to the Calvary Mission for over 30 years and have touch so many lives for the Lord.

I had driven 3 hours one way from Michigan to see the Booth Brothers that night because Muncie was my hometown and I still have family that lives there so were to visit with Family and see the Booth Brothers. When we arrived in Muncie we had trouble with our hotel reservation and then when we got to where the Booth Brothers were suppose to be and found out that they had bus trouble I was ready to just go back to Michigan but my brother said no let’s stay and listen to the Dills. So God was in Control and took over because we stayed and had the best time and behold what wonderful Music we were hearing. You guys are just wonderful God has gave you such a beautiful Talent. I am hoping that when we come back in June that you will be there with the Booth Brothers. It was worth the drive then and it would be worth the drive again in June. God Bless
Hey Mary…Thank you for staying and I’m glad that you did have a great time! I don’t that we’ll be there in June… but hopefully the Booth Brothers will make this time!
I just wanted to let you guys know that I received the best birthday present hearing THE DILLS sing all evening!
Saturday was my birthday and when I heard that you guys were coming to Muncie I had to have a ticket. Thank you so much for the evening there is no better way to spend ones birthday than worshiping our LORD.
I too had a wonderful time. I guess it pays to be ready and willing to serve. I was honored to present the Gospel in song with such fine people as The Dills. Thanks for being so good to me.
Russ Watson
You did a great job Russ! Also enjoyed Pizza King and the radio interview. Thanks for you friendship!
I too had a wonderful time on Sat. listening to the Dills. I had never heard their group before and went to the concert for the Booth Bros. I was truly blessed by the Dills! They are a very talented family that really loves the Lord and each other! I would go back to hear just them. They were great!
